What each rank gives, and the weapon it turns into once maxed
Data from build 25016043, updated
Overview
Spinach and Hollow Heart look like filler until a weapon maxes out and needs them to finish the job: Fire Wand only becomes Hellfire once you’re carrying Spinach, and the Whip only becomes Bloody Tear with Hollow Heart in a slot. Twenty-three of the 26 passives gate an evolution this way, and twelve of those need the passive itself maxed before the recipe fires. Miss that and a treasure chest at 22 minutes drops nothing new. The stat math is duller than the unlock. Spinach adds 10% Might a level, so five ranks is +50% damage stacked on everything you’re carrying.
How Passives Work
Reading the level ladder
Most passives repeat the same number at every level, so the maths is one multiplication: Crown is +8% Growth a level, +40% at the cap; Bracer is +10% Projectile Speed for +50%. A few break the pattern, and the ladder on each entry spells those out. Attractorb compounds instead of adding, so its published gains shrink from 50% to 33% to 25% and still land on 4x pickup radius. Torrona’s Box gives 4% Might, Projectile Speed, Duration and Area at level 1, then 3% of each for seven more levels, and spends level 9 on +100% Curse instead. The four ring items are blank at level 1 and only start paying from level 2.
The seven you cannot roll
Silver Ring, Gold Ring, Metaglio Left and Metaglio Right never appear on the level-up screen. They sit on the ground in most stages once you own the Yellow Sign relic, and they feed the two nastiest recipes in the game. Clock Lancet with both rings, all three maxed, becomes Infinite Corridor, while Laurel with both Metaglios, again all maxed, becomes Crimson Shroud. Chasing both in one run eats four of your six passive slots, so pick one. Tetraforce, Sossoldi and Rumba are special-only too, and none of the three feeds an evolution.
This one carries no character bonus. The published record gives it a weapon's stat block, damage, area, projectile count and a firing interval, because it fires on its own while sitting in a passive slot.
Evolutions it unlocks
Nothing evolves off Rumba. Take it for the stats or leave it.
Level cap
1 level, and that is it
How it reaches you
Never on level-up. It has to be found on a stage or handed over some other way.
